Engaging in the Arms Trade

As a publisher and a journalist, I have decided it is time to engage in the arms trade.  Being in media is just not lucrative enough for me – I want to do more, to make more.

So, as of today, with the riots taking place in Iran, the questions being raised in Egypt, and the countless other actions being taken today by people around the world who want to be free and prosperous – I will engage in the arms trade, as this truly is the most lucrative way to make change.

To the people who possess different belief systems than me but share in the desire for freedom and justice – I extend my arm.  To the people who believe in a different God than me but believe in peace – I extend my arm.  To the people who believe in a different flag, whose gait traverses different terrain, but who loves the earth and environment as I do  – I extend my arm.

Imagine the United States not being the police of the world but instead being a leader in a different kind of arms trade – the trade of knowledge and peace.  Sure, it is idealistic, but it could happen.  When soldiers teach people how to grow food, start a business, run a school – those are positive seeds of productivity, prosperity, and peace.  That is the real arms trade – extending one’s service and hand out in the name of progress.

This is not just some foo-foo rambling, this is an economic proposal as well.  The more we “get along” and work together, the better off we become because we can create more prosperity.  Peace is good for business.

I hope that more people like myself become involved with these arms dealings and the connections we can gain with such a trade in other nations.  Together, we can build (instead of tear down with guns and ammo) a better country and world for the next generation.
