Small Towns in Colorado Question Fluoride in Drinking Water

Local citizen activism, re-taking control and accountability equals better, more accountable governments.

Colorado continues to set an example for communities around the country to take control of their resources at a local level and fight back for their right to clean, pure, unaltered water.   On the Western Slope of Colorado (counties to the west of the Continental Divide), there are a few small towns that have made headlines this year for questioning the addition of fluoride to drinking water.

Rifle, a Western Slope working community, with large amounts of oil and gas exploration, started this trend by debating to remove fluoride from their municipal water source.  Earlier this year, Rifle decided to allow citizens to make the decision in a vote when the construction of a new water treatment plant is complete.

Snowmass, the high-end resort community has taken charge as well.  In July, Snowmass decided to stop adding fluoride to its drinking water.

Citizen activism is what has spurred the on-going debate and actionable solutions – showing what a difference a few visits to a city council or county commissioner meeting can make.

Getting Fluoride Out of Our Water

The government says that fluoride is harmless, but others disagree, and That’s Natural is one of them.

The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) says that fluoride promotes “dental health”, unless you get too much, and then, it can increase the “likelihood of bone fractures” and may result “in effects on bone leading to pain and tenderness”.  But that is “only” if you get too much. How would anyone know how much anyone else is getting?

Of course, sometimes the government ‘gets it wrong’ – like in the case of Triclosan, that was approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), but has been shown to be an anti-bacterial chemical that can harm or change the endocrine system (hormones) in animals.  It was “approved”, but that never meant it was “safe” or “good” for people.  You see, sometimes, the government can get it wrong.

Government, as you know, is just a collection of human beings – not necessarily endowed with more intelligence than you or I, or anyone else.  Mistakes can be made.

There is mounting evidence that fluoride in your water can be detrimental to your body.  The most resounding and dangerous effect being damage to the brain.  The EPA has a study showing “substantial evidence of developmental neurotoxicity”.  This is the same agency saying it is good for us and safe to consume over a period of a lifetime?  That doesn’t make a lot of sense.

People deserve a choice.  Just like the GMO (genetically modified organisms) debate.  Most will agree that it should not be in our food supply at all – but all people should agree that we should be able to make this choice for ourselves.  It is criminal to be consuming something that is bad for us that is being deliberately put into our water by a government agency.  Rebellion from such a system means standing up at the citizen-level of government to get it out of our water – are you up for it?  See the Fluoride Action Network for more Resources: www.fluoridealert.org

Political Parties Corrupt Absolutely – Convention of States

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cqcYuqFs-8?rel=0]
– Tisha Casida

I am a huge fan of what the Convention of States Project is attempting to achieve.  I believe in the mission so much, that I think it important to remind people that there are no “teams” when it comes to protecting the Constitution and liberty.

In Colorado, a Republican Senator (Tim Neville) was supposed to introduce a Resolution in the State Senate for the Convention of States but backed out.  Another corrupted Republican who does not actually stand for the Constitution – Dudley Brown – is also a part of the fiasco.  Mr. Brown would not support my candidacy for Congress as an Independent, even though I had stronger 2nd Amendment stance than Republican Scott Tipton,

There are is no Red Team versus Blue Team, Republican versus Democrat fight going on here.  Political parties corrupt absolutely and cannot be trusted with our liberties and with common sense government.  Political parties are bought, and the institutions that they control are bought.

Our only hope is a more common-sense approach at civics and government at the State and local levels.  This is where we have more transparency and more accountability with the people who we elect to office.

Vote them ALL out in 2016!  Clean your house!  After two terms, get new representation into office – regardless of political party – this is the quickest and surest bet to better governance.

Tisha Can Win – Talking Points for All Third Party or Independent Candidates

Liberty wins when YOU STEP UP.  Do NOT believe that you cannot make an impact, because you can and you do.  Refuse to be motivated by fear and be a part of the light and the force that brings peace and justice to our fellow human beings.  With Love,  Tisha Casida

Why Tisha CAN WIN

Tisha Casida earned 11,125 votes in 2012 with a campaign budget of approximately $35,000 – that means that her cost per vote was $3.15.  Versus Republican incumbent Scott Tipton’s whose cost was $12.01 per vote.  That means that Tisha got 3.81 times as many votes per dollar than the Republican who raised total of $2,342,228 and spent $2,225,170 (This amount is more than the average of $1.5 million spent by candidates running for the U.S. House in 2012 – http://ballotpedia.org/Scott_Tipton).   This shows how much more efficient a serious third party can be on a smaller budget.  It IS possible to win.

Tisha got almost 4 times as many votes per dollar than the establishment Republican.  Why?  People loved her platform, the fact that she signed the voluntary term limits declaration, her openness to discussion and willingness to listen to people, and the fact that she was new blood.

Another way to look at the potential is that If Tisha’s 11,125 votes were able to convince just 6 other people to vote for Tisha, she could easily win the election in 2014. In addition, if she was able to raise a percentage of what the Republican raised, she would be able to win 3.81 times as many votes, and easily win the election.

Tisha Casida is Talking About Real Issues that Affect ALL AMERICANS – Not Just Republicans and Democrats.

Neither the Republican or Democratic candidates in Tisha’s election are talking about these important issues that have a dramatic and lasting impact on our lives, freedom, and ability to protect our property and savings:

Tisha speaks to monetary policy and the rise and risk of inflation – which equally erodes the wealth of ALL AMERICANS.  Casida speaks about auditing the Federal Reserve which has NO oversight from Congress.  Even though the value of our money is the most important topic for us all to be concerned about, neither Republican Scott Tipton nor Democrat Abel Tapia are talking about our currency, the value of the dollar, and how that impacts all of us equally!

Tisha speaks to fiscal policy and the unfair and unjust system of progressive taxation engaged in by the unconstitutional Internal Revenue Service (IRS).  She talks about common sense federal tax policy reform that would benefit all Americans and bring more prosperity to the country.

Tisha speaks to foreign policy and the fact that we are engaged in wars (since Vietnam) that have NOT been declared by Congress.  If our representatives are not the ones making the decision to send our troops into war – then who can we hold accountable when we decide that we do not want to use our taxpayer money to fund these un-winnable wars against other religions and cultures.  We have lost control over Congress (the people’s house), and our foreign policy and blowback from such are suffering because of it.

Tisha Casida is fighting to protect YOUR property rights, YOUR 401-K’s, YOUR savings and YOUR plans for retirement.  If we do not embrace the next generation of leadership that is trying to bring common sense to Washington, D.C., then the people who will suffer most are the ones who have worked all their lives to buy a home, have a savings account, and have a retirement account.  It is time we embrace the next generation of leaders who will be making decisions about what we are going to do with our debt and our country’s future.

Tisha Casida has signed the voluntary term limits declaration – limiting her service in Congress to a maximum of three terms.  She is not a career politician – she is a Statesman, who is not making a career out of politics, but coming back to her community to live with the laws that are passed in Congress.  Republican incumbent Scott Tipton’s net worth has increased 112% since entering office in 2009 – has YOUR net worth increased that much in this “down economy”?

Why a Third Party or Unaffiliated Candidate DOES Win

When candidates run outside of the Republican-Democratic parties, they can have profound influences on elections.

– They force both parties to talk about issues that they may not otherwise talk about.

– They educate and inform people about additional issues and talking points not brought up by the R or D parties.

– They affect policy and policy discussions as they reach more voters and create more dialogue.

– They empower individuals in the community where they are running – to question, to participate, and to run for office themselves.

What Can YOU Do To Help?

1. Donate – even if it just a “little bit”.  (http://casida2014.com/contribute) EVERY dollar makes a difference, Tisha uses that money to reach more voters and the next generation about these important issues!

2. Tell your friends and family about her and her platform.  Send an email to them with a link to Tisha’s website.  Encourage them to DO something to protect their savings!

3. Ask organizations to endorse Tisha and send out an email to their membership, telling them about her and her candidacy.

4. Write “Letters to the Editor” to your local newspaper and talk about having more choices during the election!

AND REMEMBER….   Liberty wins when YOU STEP UP.  Do NOT believe that you cannot make an impact, because you can and you do.  Refuse to be motivated by fear and be a part of the light and the force that brings peace and justice to our fellow human beings.

Mayors, Moms, and Millions – Protect Your Life with No More Federal Gun Laws

By: Tisha Casida

Former Mayor Bloomberg passionately pleaded for mayors, moms, and millions of Americans to join his crusade – and that the number of deaths caused by guns and suicide from “illegal” guns was over 30,000 a year.

In 2012, there were approximately 34,080 deaths from motor vehicle accidents.

In 2010, there were approximately 38,329 deaths from drug overdoses.

In 2012, there were approximately 1,638,910 deaths from cancer.

Guns aren’t the problem – bad people are the problem.  Sickness and disease are the problem.  Moms, daughters, and strong women – do not be fooled by this crusade against “guns”.  Follow your heart, and your gut – who do YOU trust to protect you and your family?

Why do you call 911 if you are in danger?  It is because “good guys” with guns will come to protect you (hopefully).  Are you okay with dis-arming the police, sheriffs, and the military?  If they can have guns – why can’t we, as responsible adults?

CRIMINALS ARE CRIMINALS because THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THE LAW.  More gun laws – specifically at the federal level – will do NOTHING to stop crime – they will only make more crime possible against people who deserve the right to protect themselves and their family.  More laws are designed to dis-arm people – because there are already thousands of laws for back-ground checks and other means to “protect” you from criminals getting guns if those aren’t working – NOTHING WILL.

I plead with you to research what happens to populations when they can’t protect themselves – and remember that the more laws there are – the more criminals we create out of the people who are committing no crime.
