Government-Made Climate Change

Government-Made Climate Change

It doesn’t matter what you really believe about “climate change”, to realize that there are a lot of people (especially with their tentacles in government) that do believe in it and want to use the fear of such to control people and use forms of taxation and regulation to keep people on their knees.  I’ll just start with the assumption that you have to love people where they are, and understand that some people really are afraid of what climate change could do.  That is where I think we should acknowledge and question man-made climate change – because if “man” is creating this, it is certainly possible that government is a large part of it, because ‘government’ is made up of a lot of men and women who can contribute to the problem (and the solution).

When people start to throw out the research regarding the warming and rising of our oceans, and the ‘extreme’ changes in climate (all which should be questioned because of the amount of time humans have actually collected data, but this point will go ignored from people who believe they are right) – instead of blocking this energy and concern being thrown, I think we should embrace it.  Okay, yes – let’s say this is happening, let’s talk about some additional environmental and political factors that can affect this and human kind’s health and safety.

1. Radiation from Fukushima:  This is serious and continues to affect our world.  Radiation can have long-lasting and drastic effects on the health of all life – plant, animal, and human.  While we are discussing major changes in climate, we should address that radiation is a major cause of concern, and focus on potential solutions to fix the continued leakage from this disaster.

2. Government-Backed Experiments & Programs Affecting Space:  This one is a hard sell, but it really deserves a place at the argument table.  Programs like HAARP, where huge amounts of energy are strategically placed into our ionosphere, may affect our climate.  Maybe not – but we should be talking about what governments do to our land, sea, and skies, that does have effects on the weather.  This even includes cloud seeding, which has happened for many, many years.  Let’s at least talk about how this may impact our weather, climate, and ecosystem.  Some people will throw you into the ‘conspiracy-weirdo’ camp, but that’s okay, because the truth is – things like this exist and it is “governments” made of humans – men and women – who decide to do these things.  That is “man”, and problems from government ARE man-made.

3. Policies: Some politician recently got backlash for saying that California as a State helped create its climate change problems, which of course immediately set off people who believe in man-made climate change.  However, part of the problem truly is how government regulations “allow” people to use their resources.  Water storage is a big issue for all western States – and how water is stored and how water is allocated between agriculture and residential/commercial use – can absolutely affect micro-environments within a State and community.  Maybe this is not the complete problem, let’s acknowledge that, but it DOES play some part.  And that is a part that we can fix immediately!

The issue with most government solutions is that they are from the top-town and while those policies trickle down, they capture sediment that creates bureaucracy, corruption, and confusion.  To realize a healthier environment, policies must start from the ground up – just like planting a seed.  I think by mimicking nature – the very thing we wish to protect – we are much better off in not only succeeding, but also protecting people’s liberty.  When people come out to viscously attack their fellow man – by saying that climate change is man-made – we can enhance the argument by bringing in government(s) to this picture.  By agreeing that governments, who are made up of “man” contribute to the environmental problems that we face – we stop ourselves from attacking back (which is futile) and instead help find solutions to government – because we CAN control that.  This is much more effective at actually creating solutions, and for me, protecting individuals’ natural rights and the micro-economies that many of us depend upon for survival.

Saying Goodbye to the Monsters

Civil Flag

Unite States Civil Flag (For use in times of Peace)

Last night I finished the biography of Cornelius Vanderbilt by T.J. Stiles.  Over the past year and a half, I have read the biographies of George Washington, J.P. Morgan, and John D. Rockefeller (all by Ron Chernow).  In this same time period, I was given a book called “A Course in Miracles” by a very dear friend and fellow Ron Paul supporter.  And since beginning to really focus in on politics since 2009, as well as run for Congressional office in Colorado in 2012 and 2014 (and exploring a third in 2016), one thing has become very apparent to me.

I am saying goodbye to the monsters.  There are so many people who exist, who seek to raise fear and use fear as a tactic to stop you from achieving your dreams – or achieving anything for that matter.  Even people who claim to support the same things that you do – when I have stood up for that – they repeatedly tell me how scared I should be of this ominous force that seeks to destroy me.

For years and years I have been told to prepare for the next economic collapse – all while I take time and energy away from actually engaging in positive and productive actions that may stop me from ever being rampaged by such a catastrophic event in the first place.  By using this fear of a tragic event to come, these people who behave like monsters, lurch behind you, using facts and data to support something that is obviously very real – but not really any different than anything that has happened for hundreds and thousands of years.

After reading these truly wonderful biographies, I was astounded at how again and again – instances of politics (the attempted destruction of individual liberties, the use of force by government, the use of force by corporations, politicians being bought by various interests, the strengthening and weakening of the federal government over States’ rights) repeated.  Again and again.  What we are seeing today, is absolutely nothing new.  This is how we roll.  This is life.

You see, there are good times and there are bad times.  There are times of economic prosperity, and there are times of stagnation and depression.  There are times of achieving liberty and there are times of oppression.  History continues to repeat – and here we are in this present moment – this “holy instant” – and what do we do with it?  What do we do with RIGHT NOW?  Because the past is gone and the future is unknown, how are you going to take this holy instant and what will YOU do with it?

I am saying goodbye to the monsters.  I want to use my precious seconds on Earth, to love, to give peace, and to peacefully rebel against people who use fear to stop others from expressing themselves and living in liberty.  True liberty is taking off all of the shackles of fear away from your heart and your mind.  All of the bad, the disaster, the war, the pain, the evil – can you imagine yourself not feeding it anymore?  Can you imagine acknowledging something but not giving your heart and mind to it?  Can you imagine, instead, believing in goodness, peace, and kindness?  In your seconds, you have the choice for what you feed your mind.  I am no longer feeding these monsters of fear.

How the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Could Hurt You

Say NO to the TPP

The TPP is billed as a “free-trade” agreement between the United States government (representing the interest of the large corporations who have bought it) and 11 countries – Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam.

Here is the only question you need to ask yourself – if trade were allowed to be free amongst individuals, companies, and other individuals and companies – why would you need an agreement?

Free trade, in its simplest form, means that people are free to trade with other people.  You don’t need an agreement, or a pact, because people are free to do what they want, and individuals and the market will respond accordingly. That is what “free” means.  If there is nothing stopping someone – they are free.

However, the TPP could very well end the freedom of individuals to both trade freely with other individuals, as well as have their individual rights eroded.

The agreement would allow food products from other countries into our nation’s food supply as long as the exporting country says they are ‘safe’.  This is a grave danger to the health and well-being of America’s citizens who enjoy the ability to consume foods that are extremely regulated in comparison to other countries, especially when it comes to the use of toxic pesticides and monitoring of heavy metals. Food labels could actually be considered a “trade barrier“, and the TPP would rather allow products to flow “freely” without allowing people to know where exactly their food is coming from.  And of course, I believe, that consumers deserve to make an informed decision of whether or not they want to eat a product – and the country of origin is certainly part of that decision.

Small companies and producers never benefit from such large, over-reaching agreements.  Only gigantic multi-national corporations, who purchase our representatives in Washington, need this type of blanket agreement with other governments – to preserve their trade.

The smoking gun here is that our government, that promised un-compromised transparency, will not allow us to see the actual text of the TPP agreement.  However, Wikileaks has a portion of this document available here.

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton won’t speak to this issue, as another smoking gun, that the TPP is latent with corruption and does not deserve the support of our representatives.  We hope you will make an informed decision about who should represent you in 2016, and consider “cleaning your house” as a precaution.

Never Be Afraid of Your Government – Case Gyrocopter Mailman

So, believe it or not, a man (Doug Hughes) who broadcast his plan to fly his gyroscope ‘non-violently’ to the capitol to deliver a message to Congress – was not stopped by the military, police, or otherwise – he made it all the way to the capitol lawn.

Now, this is some gutsy civil disobedience!  He is incredibly lucky that he wasn’t shot on landing, and we are glad he is alive and okay.

I believe this is a very strong testimony to the very painful misallocation of resources when it comes to Homeland Security.  In addition to resources, it is probably saying something about the organization and culture of people who are supposed to be “protecting” the American people.  Because if someone can fly a gyrocopter onto the lawn of the capitol, without triggering some type of alarm – there is a real problem.

Do we really believe that the federal government can “keep us safe”?  I would think that giving them the authority to patrol our borders and capitol against terrorists is a good thing, but when it comes to our own States, cities, counties, and homes – I think I would rather protect myself!  Or depend on a State or local government have more control, where I can keep an eye on them.

I am happy that the non-violent protest of civil disobedience by Mr. Hughes ended with him alive and probably in a lot of trouble.  What a wonderful reminder that “government” is only as smart and savvy as the people IN government.  I hope you consider cleaning your house this election and voting in some new blood with a new focus on effective policies that truly protect people.

Climate Change & Health Problems – Other Contributing Factors

I think it is a bit frightening to have our President openly declaring that his daughter’s asthma has now made Climate Change ‘personal’ to him.  I have absolutely nothing against people who believe in Climate Change, because I share in the sentiment that it is changing, does change, and has changed for thousands of years.  I do have a real problem with trying to blame health problems like asthma on Climate Change specifically, because I think there may be some other contributing variables to this – variables that we CAN control and be actionable versus just spout vitriolic rhetoric at each other.

1. Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) – Our federal government had the audacity to allow GMO products into our food supply without any type of labeling, without telling the American public, and while protecting Monsanto and associated companies from culpability (see the ‘Monsanto Protection Act’).  GMOs, which have not been adequately studied, may have drastic effects not only on our health – but on our genetics – so that problems with GMO foods may actually not be seen until the next generation.  This is something the federal government HAS control over, and could immediately do something about.  But, instead of protecting the American public’s health – they have aided the enemy – the companies that created these GMO products.

2. Radiation – Our country, Russia, and several other countries have, since the invention of nuclear warfare, been setting off these types of bombs.  They do this far away from ‘the public’, however, fail to recognize that this type of fallout, doesn’t go away and can traverse the globe through sea and sky.  In addition to the use of nuclear weapons, there is the use of nuclear power, that can fail – like that of Fukushima.  Instead of focusing time and effort on how to protect humans from the continued leakage of radiation – our federal government is focusing on climate change as a direct cause for sickness.  Call me crazy – but shouldn’t we worry about what we absolutely know about first?  Radiation is extremely deadly – right now, to everyone equally.  All I am asking for is a prioritization of what we know and what we can control.  Control is the key here.  The major CO2 polluters – India and China – don’t have to obey any laws on climate – and therefore, we MUST focus on what we CAN control and do something about NOW!

3. Strange and Secretive Adventures into Science – The Large Hadron Collider, which can smash atoms together at the speed of light – is an amazing creation, that could very well tell us many neat things about the Universe.  However, if we are worried about Climate Change affecting human health, shouldn’t some of this time, energy, and expense go to making sure we protect humanity by cleaning up the air?  On that note, HAARP (High-frequency Active Auroral Research) created in 1997 and located in Alaska, has the ability to shoot rays of energy into the atmosphere from strategically placed antennas.  These highly concentrated rays of energy could, in theory, burn a hole in the ionosphere.  Remember the whole Climate Change thing?  Well, imagine our government heating up the ozone and burning a hole in the ionosphere – those are things that could contribute to the problems we are having.  This is something that we DO have control over – why isn’t our government doing anything about it (supposedly the U.S. Air Force has told Congress its intent to shut this facility down, but I am not buying that)?

This is not about whether you believe in Climate Change or not.  The fact is – people ARE getting sick, from a myriad of different things, and I feel it is important to address those things that we can absolutely control and DO something about.  Because I really CARE about the health of our country – and if our “leadership” really cared – they would actually do something that made a difference.  Like, require the labeling of GMO foods to let people make an individual and independent choice of what they want to consume.  Like, focus taxpayer money  on protecting people from the radiation still coming from Fukishima.  Like, truly stopping and destroying HAARP so that this machine could never be used in warfare, which could result in the destruction of mankind.

The President is not my King.  I do take what is happening in the environment very personally, as we all should.  And surely some common sense can prevail in direct causes and effects of the issues and health problems that we face.

Supporting & Celebrating Jesus' Rebellion this Easter

Tonight, a record number of Americans are likely going to sit down and enjoy the start of the faith-based series “A.D. The Bible Continues” on NBC.  This is a continuation from “The Bible” mini-series that saw around 100 million cumulative views.  Roma Downey and Mark Burnett, the producers, are excited about what this number of viewers represents for our country – a longing for faith.

I think that one of the most profound experiences of my life, has been trying to truly understand who Jesus Christ was and how I can be a more loving, at peace, and forgiving individual based on those teachings from the Bible.  I also think it is important to embrace the rebellious character that Jesus was, this peace-loving rabble-rouser that effectively caused friction with leaders who sought to ‘keep people on their knees’.

It is possible to be both peaceful and rebellious.  At REBELLION.life, this is what we do – there are many, many ways to rebel against bad people, bad government, and bad policies – by peacefully acting out in positive and proactive ways that counter the bad, the evil, and the unjust.

Today, Christians celebrate Jesus’ resurrection from the dead, and I hope that we can do more of this celebrating every day by embracing and invoking what Jesus taught – to refuse to be motivated by fear, to know you are loved, and to not be afraid to stand up for what is just.
