If there has ever been a time to question the motive or competence of our bureaucratic ‘leaders’ – now is the time.
In an interview with ABC News, Dr. Anthony Fauci said that the “best” way to protect oneself is to cover your eyes in addition to nose and mouth.
From the New York Post: “When asked if eye protection will become a formal recommendation at some point, he said, “It might, if you really want perfect protection of the mucosal surfaces.””
PERFECT PROTECTION? HELL YEAH OF COURSE THAT IS WHAT I WANT! Because we all know we can protect ourselves COMPLETELY from exposure to this virus… right?
If face masks are that effective, remembering that the initial recommendation from Dr. Fauci and the Surgeon General were to NOT wear face masks, why didn’t anyone mention your eyeballs being ‘mucosal surfaces’ that are just as likely to contract disease?
This is really serious – this means that for over 100 days now Americans have been wandering around EXPOSED without “PERFECT PROTECTION”. Shouldn’t someone be called out for this?
Now, personally, I think most all of us have likely already been exposed to this virus, and it won’t make one bit of difference, but for the fear-mongers, this is real reason for outrage. And NOW for the goggle palooza.. soon goggles with your company’s name imprinted on them! While we are at it, let’s make sure they have blinders to stop you from looking around and that the masks/muzzles have a device to stop you from talking, oh wait, they already do!
Day 140 – NOW We Are Told To Wear Goggles to Best Protect Ourselves From COVID?!?!?! July 30th, 2020Rebellion!
Day 122 into the Coronavirus Pandemic… and I have some questions.
Being in the tri-county area of Pitkin, Eagle, and Garfield – we are under mandatory mask ‘orders’ (not law – simply ordinances – although you would be hard-pressed to find people that know the difference) – and continually told how important it is to wear them. You are certainly shamed if you don’t.
Infection and Death Rates for these counties as of today are as follows:
Pitkin County: 130 Cases/2 Deaths (1 in 137 people for Cases)
Eagle County: 761 Cases/ 8 Deaths (1 in 72 people for Cases)
Garfield County: 403 Cases/ 3 Deaths (1 in 149 for Cases)
In these counties, we are following the path of those who believe that wearing masks ‘saves lives’. I certainly wear one when in public spaces where I can’t stand 6 feet away from people – I do this to make OTHER people feel ‘safe’. I certainly don’t feel any safer or better most of the time, because I hate breathing my own recycled and dirty air.
But there is an oddity in Mesa County, where I believe there are NO KNOWN mask ordinances, and where you can still move about and purchase groceries without masks… in Mesa County there are:
140 Cases and 0 Deaths – that is 1 in 1,102 for Cases
That is significantly less people with the virus. Why is this?
Is there really evidence that the mask-wearing will stop or even slow the spread of this thing? I get the concept, and am happy to “do my part” – but why is it that the County where there aren’t these draconian mandates and mask-police actually have less cases and deaths?
Maybe we should ask some questions about what we should do if we REALLY CARE about ‘saving lives’ of our fellow human beings? Since the virus and all viruses and all bacteria will be around on Earth forever. Maybe there are some other ways we can help and support each other without screaming at each other for wearing this piece of cloth over one’s face?
From Dr. Kelly Brogan, “That’s also why those who are shaming maskless civilians don’t exactly appear to be concerned for the well-being of those they are shaming, nor even concerned for their own health necessarily, but rather, are pouring from quite empty cups to garner a little hit of power. “
So, here’s a thought… what if wearing masks actually makes healthy people sick? What if this is a power-grab? What if this is dehumanizing us? What if this is all fear-driven?
“Mandatory Masks Can Cause Considerable Harm and Are Not Proven Effective“
“Evidence that face masks reduce the transmission of viral respiratory infections within community settings is equivocal at best. A recent meta-analysis of scientific literature, including 11 randomized, controlled trials and 10 observational studies, found that there was no clear clinical or laboratory-confirmed evidence that masks prevent infection. To the contrary, the study warned that facemasks “…may even increase transmission if they act as fomites [objects or materials that are likely to carry infection] or prompt other behaviours that transmit the virus such as face touching.”
This echoes World Health Organization (WHO) guidance published on January 29, 2020 entitled, “Advice on the use of masks in the community, during home care and in healthcare settings in the context of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak.” In it, the WHO says, “Wearing medical masks when not indicated may cause unnecessary cost, procurement burden and create a false sense of security that can lead to neglecting other essential measures such as hand hygiene practices.” Furthermore, the January 2020 WHO guidance stated that “Cloth (e.g., cotton or gauze) masks are not recommended under any circumstance.”
Cloth masks have been found to be particularly problematic. A British Medical Journal (BMJ) study published in April 2020 cautions against the use of cloth masks, citing “Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection.” The WHO affirms increased infection risk with cloth masks in its latest June 5, 2020 guidance. It based its guidance on an earlier BMJ study that found the penetration of particles to be 97% in the cloth mask group, with significantly higher rates of infection and influenza-like illness.
A study on the CDC website that reviewed 10 different randomized clinical trials worldwide on highly infectious respiratory virus transmission found “no significant reduction” in “transmission with the use of face masks.”
Given the lack of evidence for their use, and flip-flopping advice both against and for their use by authoritative health agencies like the WHO, the increasing pressure to wear masks in public — and the decreased ability to access basic services required to maintain one’s health, liberty and livelihood — constitutes an unnecessary power grab and means of controlling the population.”
Evidence. Science. Discussion. Can we work on having any of these things please? This is our last chance to save any liberty we have, this is our last chance to truly be human, this is our last chance to TRULY STAND UP FOR EACH OTHER. Not by being aggressive and pointing fingers for mask-wearing, we need to stand up for each other’s right to HEALTH, which starts with peace of mind, love, and access to natural foods and wellness products that BUILD OUR INNATE IMMUNE SYSTEMS.
No Mask Enforcement – No Deaths… A Case for Liberty? July 12th, 2020Rebellion!
Proclaim your Independence by hovering inside with your mask on, while on your knees apologizing for crimes you have not committed!
Received this alert this morning that cases are “on the rise” in Pitkin County (ooohhhh scary!!!!) so what does this mean?
A week ago on June 26th, Pitkin County had 91 cases and 2 deaths (this has been since March – this is 114 days in, the TOTAL) and on July 4th that is now… 104 cases and 2 deaths. HOLY $H!TBALLS – that is an increase of 13 people! STAY INSIDE!
Aspen has a “local” population of about 7,300 – so if you count that.. that is approximately .014 of the population that is infected and if you count deaths, that is .00027 of the population (more people I think have died on Highway 82 recently). If you count visitors, which is AT LEAST double the population – so a total of 14,600… then our stats are .00071 people INFECTED BY THIS UNRELENTING HORRID HORRID VIRUS and .00013 people DEAD (one of the two people who have died ‘from’ Coronavirus was 93 years old).
We will continue to monitor this breaking situation!!!!!
Day 114 – Corona Cases on the RISE in Pitkin County July 5th, 2020Rebellion!
So apparently there is a record number in reported COVID-19 cases as of yesterday (in one day – 40,000 total) … and also it appears that many, many people, possibly MILLIONS have already had the virus without even knowing it. Does this make it worse… or better? If we have already had that kind of exposure, without even KNOWING IT, does that mean that we are building herd immunity and that the rate of hospitalizations and deaths are even lower? No, probably not, I think it is time for more hysteria!
So, as of today, the 106th day since I have been writing in my online journal about this insanity, here are our numbers:
MESA COUNTY – 87 Cases/0 Deaths (this county does NOT have mask requirement, interesting…)
I want to emphasize that EVERY LIFE MATTERS and that JUST ONE PERSON DYING from this terrible terrible virus is TOO MANY. ONE IS TOO MANY – and it is horrifying how many people are dying.
And since every precious life matters, I think we should treat all death equally and just remember the following from 2019 (from the CDC):
Heart disease: 647,457
Accidents (unintentional injuries): 169,936
Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 160,201
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 146,383
Alzheimer’s disease: 121,404
Influenza and Pneumonia: 55,672
Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and nephrosis: 50,633
Intentional self-harm (suicide): 47,173
This is how many people DIED LAST YEAR. EVERY PRECIOUS LIFE. Because COVID-19 has brought to light how important it is to pay attention to viruses and underlying conditions that affect your IMMUNE SYSTEM, let’s look at what is killing people every day (and has been for decades).
Heart disease LAST YEAR killed well over half a million people. Where is the outrage? Cancer LAST YEAR killed over half a million people. Where is the outrage? Oh, by the way, these underlying conditions make it EASIER for the virus to infect AND kill you… why aren’t our “leaders” talking about this? Don’t they want to “save us”? This would be a great place to START – a healthier society can combat ANY virus better.
I understand that this is a very scary virus – I personally am horrified about the way it may mutate and how it may affect people forever after they are infected. But, since it may be impossible to find an EFFECTIVE vaccine (trust me, they will be ready to shoot SOMETHING into you lickity-split), maybe our society should talk about HEALTH.
I know, alarm bells are going off in your head… what the f$@* do you mean HEALTH? Why don’t we focus on treated the DISEASE? Pills, prescriptions, therapies, vaccines – that’s how you create health, right?
No, health starts with immunity, and although no one in any leadership position that I can see will talk about it – I will. Others do and need platforms to reach people who want to learn about true, innate immunity – given to us by our Creator, Mother Nature, GAIA, Earth, etc.
So let’s get mad – look at how many people died last year and are dying this year because of EVERYTHING…. and let’s actually do something to FIX IT.
Day 106 – Reason for Hysteria? COVID Cases & Numbers June 26th, 2020Rebellion!
You can feel the anger seething off of most people. Masked like a faceless victim – ruled by fear – the new God for those who refuse to ask questions, refuse to take personal responsibility, refuse to have dialogue or respectful conversation.
That seething hatred – I feel it every time I go to a store. It used to be fun to shop. It used to be fun to look around at things – at the grocery store, the nursery, the lumber-yard. It used to be fun to be a part of a capitalist society – but not anymore.
You have to be masked – so you can’t breathe or smell anything. Olfactory input is actually pretty important to the human species, and society is effectively obeying our masters to stop exploring the world with part of our senses.
You have to stand 6 feet apart – but in many retail settings it is literally impossible to pass people or shop that way, creating a constant barrage of internal questions about where you should stand, how you should move, and how you should properly comply. I needed eggs, but there were people hovering there, and I didn’t want to make them uncomfortable, so I went and hovered somewhere else waiting, but then in the meantime missed my chance to grab a container before another masked and faceless human entity swarmed in so that I continued this incredible f-ed up dance of not doing what I wanted and needed to do to make other people who could care less about me feel comfortable. Sad.
It is miserable shopping for flowers when you feel compelled to hurry and get out of there because all of the senior citizens (not all, but MANY) are glaring at you – I feel like they hate young people and would rather us not be “out and about” so they can shop without the chance of having exposure to us potential asymptomatic carriers of disease. I wish they understood that I am the one ensuring their 401K and Social Security.
It is all very uncomfortable. Very miserable. And if it is a sign of what is to come, it is time to close up shop and look into doing something different. At my store we want to offer people a beautiful shopping experience – it is hard to experience beauty when you are afraid, when you are masked and gloved. And now, according the “the experts” the best thing to do is to treat EVERYONE like they are infected . Sounds like a recipe for a disastrous and violent shopping experience.
Day 73 of the New COVID Reality – It’s Getting Ugly Out There May 27th, 2020Tisha T. Casida
It is our constitutional right to not agree with everything that the government tells us.
It is our natural God-given right to choose what we do with our bodies.
It is our duty to stand up for discussion, truth, and freedom. It is our duty to seek the truth and listen to people and stand up for ALL VOICES – EVEN IF WE DISAGREE WITH THEM.
This interview with Dr. Judy Michowitz on Armstrong Economics seems pretty legit and is very interesting. Especially when it comes to her knowledge and research into coronaviruses and influenza/flu vaccines that may actually contribute to people getting sicker.
All I seek is the truth – and I don’t want to hurt or kill anybody while doing it. I think that the people ‘running the circus’ at the federal government and big pharma probably do not have these scruples. Not all of them – but enough to have created a real disaster.
I pray for justice and protection of those bearing light and speaking truth. I hope that you will be inspired to do the same. We are each other’s protection. I hope you will watch and share this and research for yourself.
Day 59 – Dr. Judy Mikovits Interview on Armstrong Economics May 10th, 2020Rebellion!
My brother tells me that the Earth is Satan’s playground. That is starting to make more sense to me now. I think I have been in utter denial most of my adult life – believing in good and in humanity and in “helping people”. It feels pretty dismal out there. Maybe I am just tired.
Having a retail store, I get to really get a pulse on consumers and sentiment. I have opted out of a face mask because I think it is incredibly unhealthy to recirculate air that you have already breathed out – getting a continuous dose of humidity, bacteria, and CO2. If people are afraid of me – I think their masks are supposed to protect them… right? Isn’t that why they are wearing a mask? To be protected from the virus? If they are protected with their mask… then why do I need to wear one?
It’s just like vaccines. What problem do you have with me NOT getting a vaccine if you have one that is supposed to protect you from whatever I may have that you are vaccinated for? If you are protected, what does it matter what I do?
Or does it go much deeper than that. Like people getting their jollies in telling others, mandating what others, violently enforcing what others do. Liberalism used to stand for the individual. Progressives are supposed to stand against large corporate rulers (like pharmaceutical companies) and political corruption (like how the FDA and most government agencies are bought and paid for).
In the Roaring Fork Valley, we are known for our progressive and liberal politics… can we stand to have political discourse? Can we stand for individuals’ constitutional rights? Can we stand for CHOICE? Why can I choose to have an abortion but not choose to wear a mask or not? Doesn’t that seem hypocritical?
You can see the dissent and the tension… and I can feel the choices we have to make if we want to preserve any type of liberty and freedom in our movement and actions. With the impossibility of reaching “the masses” through social media streams that are SHUTTING UP people who are dissenting from the status quo, the only hope for us? Divine intervention is what I am thinking at this point.
Day 58 Coronavirus Contemplations May 10th, 2020Tisha T. Casida
Well, it looks like everyone is now potentially an asymptomatic carrier of disease – so everyone must obey. Cover your f-ing face.
I kind of get it. Except that I am pretty sure this is our new reality. Which really sucks. This will be good for the people who don’t want to show their face though. I am contemplating my new outfits for fun fun grocery shopping so that I can comply effectively while rebelling.
Personally, and I don’t know $h!t, I think that keeping a face mask on for hours and hours at a time is going to be HORRIBLE for people’s health. By keeping a covering over your nose and mouth, you are effectively creating moisture and heat, which of course, is a great breeding ground for bacteria. I mean, not to sound like a complete and total crazy person, but our noses actually have ‘filters’ to help us live in a world with bacteria and viruses…which we have done for thousands of years up to this point.
Wow, I must sound like a witch. Burn her at the stake!
I wish we could have some discussion about facts – I wish we could investigate possibilities for continuing on both socially and economically. I wish we could have discussion about building immune systems and creating nutrient-dense food that would help us fuel better – so that we could feel better. But it is hard to have conversations with your mouth covered and your eyes closed. : (
Day 40 – OBEY. Face Mask Usefulness April 21st, 2020Rebellion!
HERETIC. I can already hear it. I am going to be one of THOSE people. I am going to be somebody that doesn’t completely FOLLOW and OBEY and STAY. I am going to be somebody that says something. A true liberal would listen, but I live in the Roaring Fork Valley – where it is dangerous to be classically liberal and allow ALL to speak and attempt to have common-sense conversations versus blindly living in fear.
At our (Tank and I) favorite off-leash dog park, they have decided to MAKE people use leashes (including out in the field where you rarely come into contact with anyone any day of the week). I was so enraged, I had to let this calm down in my head for a couple days.
First of all, if they wanted to have ANY type of f-ing impact, they should have done this A MONTH AGO. Not now. We are nearly 5 weeks in – and everyone in the Valley is going to the same TWO grocery stores. If you want to know where a “Super Spreader Event” is going to happen – it is going to be in the grocery stores – not in a f^c#ng FIELD away from all humanity.
Second of all, there are some pretty angry people that CANNOT STAND DOGS, and especially cannot stand them running free BEING DOGS off leash. These are a special category of people that I loathe because they feel it is their duty to take away the fun and freedom from people like ME. They hate joy (if they don’t like dogs, you know there is a deeper problem within their psyche – just sayin’), and they hate seeing SPONTANEOUS reactions from people and animals alike. They want you to CONFORM. LEASH. MASK. OBEY. F^C#!NG RIDICULOUS.
I want to be a good community member. I practice social distancing. I have taken a huge hit with my company. I am not actively complaining. I don’t judge others for how they are reacting. I want people to feel safe and stay healthy. I have not been to our 2 major grocery stores in 3 weeks, I hate how it feels in there with all of these masked people with sunglasses afraid of being around anyone even though these draconian measures were put into effect nearly 4 weeks after the COVID-19 virus started circulating in the Valley. I get their fear – I am not participating in that but respect peoples’ rights to.
I just want to live my life freely… as long as I am not hurting anyone else. I go to the dog park nearly every day. I rarely see anyone at the time we go. If we see someone I can easily stand 6 feet apart from them. I pay at least $16,000 in taxes to the State and local governments every year. I want to take my dog for an off-leash walk – THIS IS NOT HARMING ANYONE ELSE IF I DO NOT COME INTO CONTACT WITH ANYONE ELSE. My head.
Day 32 of Coronavirus Contemplations & Insanity April 13th, 2020Tisha T. Casida
Today, when I walked into a “local” small grocery store in Basalt I was stopped at the door (to the approximately 500 square foot space MAYBE) and told that I could not come in unless I had a mask and gloves. I am not sure why that set me off. I guess I really don’t want to hurt people, but at this point (about 30 days after all this started – to date there have been 39 cases and 2 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Pitkin County, Colorado) it seems like it is a bit overkill. Am I a bad or stupid person for thinking this? Thankfully I had my park gloves and some neck wrap thing in my truck. It was the second most unpleasant visit to date after accidentally going to Whole Foods during Senior Hour (because I ALWAYS go to the grocery store early).
While I was in there, an older gentleman came in and it is quite incredible how most of these people I have encountered treat me (someone pretty young and I THINK pretty healthy looking) like some carrier of disease. It really f^ck$ with your psyche. It really hurts because these are the people I work for – paying their social security and ensuring the stock market will hold their 401K. But right now, I am a potential Super Spreader I guess. I really don’t ever want to go to the grocery store again.
I am sad. And angry. Is this the “new normal”? Most people were a$$ho!es before, now we get to have a$$ho!ies with masks and sunglasses. I think it will be like keyboard warriors. People are more apt to show their horrible and sick nature when they can hide behind a screen, or a mask, or sunglasses.
Is it worth a fight? Is it worth a conversation (which in most cases would actually be an argument because people are so amazingly stuck on their own ideas and egos that they cannot even fathom LISTENING to someone else)?
Oh, and now that we are sterilizing everything and supposedly constantly and continuously ‘sanitizing’ our hands – does that make us more safe? Or actually more prone to disease? Isn’t there something to building immunity? Isn’t there something about letting your bacteria and immune system have SOME exposure to microbes and such because not ALL of them are scary and bad? Hmmm… for the next pandemic and crisis – I am thinking we should take a look at that. I am not sure who “we” are though. Me and Tank maybe. Great Danes cannot social distance. I build my immunity every day through Great Dane kisses.
Day 28 of Coronavirus Contemplations & Rage April 13th, 2020Tisha T. Casida
